Skiing 2017-2018

This year, we signed up Parker for ski camp at this great little ski hill near my work. It was a surprise Christmas gift and Ben and Colin Nudds attended as well. The park is called Powder Mills Park and the ski hill just has one rope tow.  The camps are run by Swain, which is a ski area an hour south of here.

The kids were so excited and did awesome, despite the single digit temps! Man, it was cold!  They started using the rugs and just sidestepping up part of the hill (see video below of Parker skiing down at end of day 1).  Then graduated to the rope tow when they were ready.

It was a great start to the season.  After just a couple more visits to Bristol's bunny hill, Parker was riding the chair lift and skiing the big hill for the rest of the winter.  This video was first time on bunny hill before moving up.

One day, we brought lunch and ate in the lodge.  This was during our little break.

Graham really only lasted a couple runs down the bunny hill each time we took him and then we retired to the lodge to wait for Daddy and Parker.
