We were slightly delayed due to an emergency c-section that moved in front of us, but otherwise everything went very well.
Greg picked up Parker from school that day and brought her to the hospital to visit. She was a little wary at first and just wanted Daddy. Greg and Parker went down to the cafeteria to have some dinner and after they came back up she was ready to sit on the bed with me and check out Graham a little closer. All visits after that were great and she has been wonderful with him ever since.
Everything went so well in the hospital that we got to go home a day early and were home by 4:00 on Friday.
The name Graham is one we have liked for years and we choose Thomas as the middle name to honor two important men in our lives: my Dad, Tom Lang and Greg's Grandpa, Tom Goforth.
Graham has been a pretty mellow baby so far. He already likes the swing and has gone 4-4.5 hours between feedings, particularly at night. Graham's first check-up with our pediatrician was on day 6 and he passed with flying colors. Newborns always lose weight after birth and he was 8 lb 5 oz when we left the hospital. At the check-up, he weighed 8 lbs 8 oz (75%). They measured him at 21.5" (97%), so who knows which is right but he certainly didn't grow an inch in 6 days! His head circumference was 14" (50%).
My Mom flew in town on Friday and my Dad drove in on Tuesday. It has been so awesome having them here to help out. Parker has gotten lots of love and attention and Graham lots of snuggles. We are all in love with this little guy!
