St. Louis Visit - Sep12

We ventured to St. Louis once again, but this time for a very important event...cousin Charlie's 1st birthday!  With Papa G out of town, Otis enjoyed his second stay at Creekside Pet Resort and the three of flew out for the long weekend.  We had a layover in Chicago on both ends of the trip and the only one that was rough was the first flight from Rochester to Chicago.  Greg and I both decided only night time flights from now...Parker just wanted to get down and explore!  There are only so many ways you can occupy an 11 month old for 2 hours in one spot.  Fortunately, she did much better on the other three flights.

We arrived on Friday afternoon and had a play date at the Francis household with our friends and their kids.  No pictures this time, but we had a nice (although quick) visit with the Francis, Besmer, Blatz, and Rackers families.  We had dinner at my parents house with Annie, Jack, & Charlie joining us.  The master plan was to visit the St. Blaise (as it will always be known in my heart) aka Holy Spirit Carnival that evening, but alas we were rained out.

Here are some pictures & video of Charlie and Parker playing on the bed together and our fun hanging out in the basement.

Saturday was the big party so we headed over to the Clayton's to celebrate!  I did not get many great pictures...not even of the big cake eating moment as I was manning the Clayton's video camera instead.

On Sunday, we took the kids to the Wabash Frisco & Pacific Railroad.  It was a gorgeous day and nice to just be outside.

Sunday evening we had dinner at my parents and just hung out in the backyard.  We attempted to get the three kids to pose together and the results are pretty humerous.

It was a short trip, but always easier to say goodbye when we know we will be seeing everyone again at the beginning of October when they visit for Parker's birthday!
