We all got to visit Parker's Kindergarten class for her birthday. We brought some photos of her as a baby and a story to read. Then Parker's classmates got to "interview" by asking her questions about herself. My favorite was "What color food is your favorite?" Obviously, favorite food and favorite color has already been asked. Here is our girl wearing the special birthday hat.
On Saturday, Parker had a t-ball game, so Grandma and Grandpa got to see her in action.
That evening we had our usual crew over for a birthday bash. Of course, I didn't get any pics, but luckily Grandma snagged this one.
On Sunday, we went for a hike in Corbett's Glen Park.
On Parker's actual birthday, we went out to dinner with Papa G and Sandy. The kids were a little restless, so this was us waiting outside the restaurant for everyone to settle up.
And here are a view of the kids while trying out her birthday presents, soccer goals and Barbie
We did the annual birthday interview a couple weeks late. Here are the answers and two videos of Parker answering the questions.

We love watching Parker grow every day. She is still really good at puzzles and lego sets and generally shows great perseverance to get them completed. She is not reading yet, but recognizes more and more words. Parker likes doing her homework and we never have to nag her about it. Her handwriting has improved dramatically and she uses lower case letters all the time now.
Parker continues to be a great mix of sporty and girly. She loves to run and be outside, but will put on a dress or skirt every day if given the opportunity. She has become so much more independent the last year.
She is still a great eater (albeit a messy one) and will try anything. Right now, she loves pickle spears, blackberries, and carrots.
Parker loves her brother and while she does tend to boss him around a bit while playing, she always tries to watch for him and take care of him. They have so much fun together.
