We headed down in the later afternoon after Graham woke from his nap. Our buddy, Justin showed us to a good site and entertained Parker by taking her for some rides on his golf cart. We got the tent set up and then I headed down the street to pick up dinner from a drive-in. I mean, how's that for easy camping??
The kids played in the tent for an hour and had a blast.
When I went to pick up dinner, I had to get cash and right next to the ATM machine at the cash station was a worm dispenser! I picked some up for fishing and Parker made a new friend.
The crew walking over to the canal to go fishing.
The next morning we had some fruit and bagels and got ready for a little paddling adventure. Before we did that, the kids had a little reading time in the back of the car.
On the canal! Greg used a SUP and took Otis with him. I had both kids in a kayak. Fuzzy Guppies is the "human-powered craft" business that Justin runs from the campground. It was such a nice way to start the morning.
After our paddle, we walked back over to the swimming dock on the canal. They have a slide and it's a nice spot for a dip. Parker jumped right in!
Parker figured out not to stop at the end of the slide after this...
Graham insisted on wearing his towel like this, it looked so funny.
Sleepy boy for the drive home...
