Winter

Just like many other parts of the country, this winter has been particularly cold in Rochester.  While we are never the ones to complain about the snow (skiing!  snowshoeing! sledding!), it is no fun when you can't get outside to play in it.  Instead we have been entertaining ourselves with indoor activities.  It has been a while since I have done a post, so these go back to the last few weeks.

One Saturday, we took Parker to a 2-year-old "class" at the zoo.  The theme for the week was Remarkable Rabbits.  They learn about rabbits with a book, song, craft, and a snack and get to pet a rabbit too!  Like most of the other kids in the room, Parker was pretty quiet when it was her turn to talk in the circle, but we were happy she wasn't one of the criers!  By the end of the class, she was walking up to the rabbit and petting it over and over again.

This happened to be a reasonably warm day and so despite the drizzling rain, we took a walk around the zoo after the class.

Grandma & Grandpa Lang gave Parker an easel for Christmas.  Here are some shots from it's first use.

Parker had her first haircut in January!  We went to Haircuts For Peanuts, which was great.  They have movies to watch during the haircut and a popcorn machine.  Parker also got some animal crackers, a balloon, and a certificate!  She did great following directions (look down please), but was not very talkative.

Afterwards we went to Bounce-it-Out and Parker showed off her soccer skills.

Greg went to visit his Grandpa in Texas the weekend after that so I decided to get our own soccer set up going in the basement.

We also made cookies and went to the mall.  These are some of the pictures we sent to Daddy while he was away.

And just some recent random shots of Parker being our sweet, funny girl:
