Cousin Cate Turns One

We headed to Pittsburgh last weekend to celebrate our neice, Cate's, 1st birthday.  Gennie had A Very Hungry Caterpillar themed party and lots of delicious food.  Parker had a blast playing with Clare, as usual, and even played with Cate more this time around.  At one point, I saw Parker chasing Cate around the house by crawling behind her, so cute.  Cate is taking her first steps, but they are hesitant.  I venture to guess that she will be really moving by the team we see the Johnsons again in Florida in three weeks. 

Cate is a great eater normally, but she took eating to a whole new level with her birthday cake...I have to say it was the best I have seen.

After the guests were gone and kids in bed, Gennie, Eric, Greg, the neighbor Ben, and I headed down to the garage for some late night cocktails.  The neighbors have a Labradoodle puppy named Tess, so she and Otis had a lot of fun playing.
