Random Silliness

Here are some random photos and videos from the last few weeks, which explanations where necessary:

This series of photos was to capture the funny face Graham was making because the sun was coming through the sunlight above him and making him squint...that turned into goofball Graham.

Parker created this set up in our room one weekend.  The hamper has about 30 little animals and figurines set up on it.  There are two chairs behind her facing the wall of pillows.  Also note the hat and skirt she is wearing over her pjs.

A cooking birthday party at Wegman's.  My favorite part was when they all sat down and explained they would be making banana splits with rice pudding, Parker immediately exclaimed "but Mia is allergic to bananas!".  Mia is her good friend from school and I assume she would have said something before eating a banana, but she had come to the party with a friend of the family and so had no parent there.  They made some switches and all was good.

On St. Patrick's Day, Parker was staying home sick but still wanted to dress up in green.  Check out that ensemble!  Graham loves to go in his room to "read" his books and many times they all end up on the floor like below.

Graham also likes to "read" his books.  It's been hard to catch on video, but he always says the same word when flipping to each page.  It sounds like of like "asin", but we don't know what he is trying to say.  When he gets to the last page, he very clearly says "The End".

Wearing Daddy's slippers:

I made mussels for dinner one night, knowing that Parker loves them.  We were all surprised when Graham like them too!

Seven Springs

The Johnsons own a condo at Seven Springs Resort, which is a ski area an hour outside Pittsburgh.  The condo is rented for most weekends during the winter but a free one popped up and they decided to head down and invited us to join them.

I didn't get very many photos or videos...too busy visiting with some of our favorite people.  We had dinner at the condo Friday night.  On Saturday, we went to a small ski area at Nemacolin, a nice resort about 45 minutes away.  The three girls had a ski lesson and then after that we settled all the kids in the lodge and the parents took turns skiing.  With the horrible snow season we had, this was the only time out skiing for Greg and I this year.  Parker was not into the skiing this time.  We are blaming it on the late night the night before (getting these three girls to sleep in the same room together is never easy).

Saturday night we rode the shuttle into the Seven Springs village for dinner.  It was a very fun night out!

Parents Visit - Feb 2016

With the Clayton kids enjoying full Mommy time during maternity leave, my parents decided to make a trip to visit us before their babysitting duties kicked in again.

Thankfully we had a big snow storm BEFORE they started their drive.  Here are a couple shots from that.  It shut down the city, which virtually never happens here.  It was just so much snow and came down so fast.

By the time my parents arrived, the roads were clear as can be and we had some beautiful sunny days that weekend...perfect sledding weather!

We also went out to dinner a couple times and went to the Rochester Science Museum.  We also had the Nudds family over for dinner.

On Monday, Greg and I headed into work and the kids had some Grandma and Grandpa time.  They visited a new play place and came to meet me for lunch.

Parker simply adores her Grandma and Grandpa and loved all the attention. Graham warms up to them so quickly now and still enjoys playing with the stacking cups that Grandpa brings along.

Now just counting the days to their next visit in April for Graham's birthday!
