Winter Activities

It has been a very mild winter in Western NY.  We are used to lots of snow and lots of cold days.  This year the largest snowfall we have had at one time was 3 inches.  Luckily, there was a decent day that weekend to get out and play it in before it melted again.

Snow Angels.  Or course!

After this we put each kid in a sled and pulled them around the yard and then up to the canal.  It was fun for them and good work out for Mommy & Daddy.

We have the kids in swim lessons this year through the Town of Pittsford.  They have a double session, where 1-3 year old beginners are combined with 4-6 year old learners (prerequisite: be OK putting face in water).  The pool is at one of the middle schools and hasn't had an update in 30 years, but all-in-all it's nice to get them in the water every week.  Since both kids are getting lessons, both parents are in the pool so I won't be getting many action shots.  We got Parker some goggles and she wore them for the first time last week and LOVED them!  She could not get enough of putting her head under the water.  She can now swim under the water, but still working on swimming with head above water.

Some other other random pictures & videos from the last few weeks:

Cooking dinner for Papa G & Sandy (Greg's impromptu apron)

eating rice at sushi/hibachi restaurant; both kids lived the miso soup

Christmas gift from the Johnsons, a Plasma Car, Parker rides it everywhere she needs to go on the 1st floor

a walk at a park, Graham held onto the end loop of Otis' leash for 30 minutes

The next three pictures are of the kids "playing Mommy & Daddy".  They were upstairs for 30 minutes in Parker's room getting ready.  Then they brought down the baby dolls and fed them.  Then they brought the babies to school (on the plasma car, of course).  The babies are at school in the photo with the basket.  Then "Mommy & Daddy" went to work behind the curtains.

At one point, Graham was heading back over to get his baby and Parker said "No, Graham, you can't get your baby from school yet.  I know you miss her, but you have to wait until the end of the day to get her.  Don't worry, she is having fun."
